About Us
Highland 4x4 Response Group is a charitable volunteer organisation specialising in logistical support to Category 1 and 2 responders.
Trained responders with equipped 4x4 vehicles are available to assist in bad weather, major incidents and in times of crisis.
Under our Memorandums of Understanding with Police Scotland and NHS Highland we can assist in the transportation of personnel, delivery of supplies to remote areas and provide assistance where the use of a 4x4 is necessary due to terrain, weather or logistical need.
We have responders throughout Highland, covering 11,000 square miles of the Highland Council area. All of our responders are trained and equipped to deal with a multitude of scenarios such as use of 4x4 controls, driving in snow, floods and navigation.
In addition to providing support to the emergency services we utilise our skills and resources to help at a number of charitable events throughout the region and attend several annual events and annual shows to promote the group.
Highland 4x4 Response aims to provide a highly professional, well trained team of responders that is trusted by our user bodies and be able to assist them in a multitude of scenarios owing to our capabilities and experience.
